Stephen and his group focused on vascular medicine and the central nervous system (CNS).
Among 13 peer-reviewed articles coauthored by Stephen are scholarly papers on endocrinology (e.g. a review of incretin mimetics for diabetes), erectile dysfunction, lipidology (e.g. an important mechanistic paper on ezetimibe), and CNS (ADHD).
Since 1999, Stephen has subspecialized in health economics and outcomes research(HEOR), including work on global value dossiers, AMCP dossiers, cost-effectiveness analyses, and other, observational study reports, while consulting with Bristol-Myers Squibb and Merck for >12 years. These and other HEOR consultations resulted in publication of 43 articles in peer-reviewed HEOR and other journals since 2004.
A summa cum laude graduate of Duke University, Stephen is also the author of a textbook on medical writing, which is scheduled for publication in March 2017 by CRC Press (Boca Raton, FL), a unit of Taylor & Francis (Abingdon-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, UK). Stephen has also lectured on medical writing at leading LSCs.
Stephen is a member of the American Medical Writers Association, International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research, and Phi Beta Kappa.
