Associate Health Economist
Chieh-Yu Liu is an Associate Health Economist with experience in quantitative economics and statistical analysis in a variety of fields, such as health care, educational sciences, and law and regulations.
Prior to joining WG, Chieh-Yu has worked as a statistical assistant at Academia Sinica and with projects pertaining to the national health care system and health economics. His responsibilities included data mining on administrative data with over 600 thousand data entries, conducting statistical analysis based on multi-strata models, and building economic models to make predictions on trends and dynamics. In addition, Chieh-Yu has also worked on survey data, such as patients responses on inpatient services and legal disputes interviews.
Since joining WG, Chieh-Yu has engaged in projects on burden of disease study, construction of budget impact calculators, and literature research.
Chieh-Yu has a B.B.A. in Finance from National Taiwan University and a M.S. in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from University of Wisconsin-Madison. During his Master's study, he focused on the cost-effectiveness of educational programs on health improvement of inmates in Wisconsin correctional centers.
Chieh-Yu is based in the New York office.
